When you contact the Parish Council, the Clerk will action it in one of the following ways:

  • Given the few hours each week allocated to the role of Clerk, enquiries will be acknowledged as soon as possible and certainly within ten working days. If a more detailed response is required, or the query needs to be discussed by the Parish Council, it will be added to the agenda of our next meeting.

Enquiries for matters under the responsibility of the County and District Councils are inevitably better dealt with directly.

If you wish to report a highways matter or a rights of way issue, please note that the quickest way to report highways problems is direct to Suffolk County Council via their website, You will need to provide details of the exact location and the nature of the problem. Report a Highways or Footpath Problem

Faulty streetlights can also be reported direct to Suffolk County Council Report a Streetlight problem. If possible you will need to provide the streetlight number and details of the location.

Reporting a highways problem to Suffolk County Council

Highways problems should be reported to Suffolk County Council.

Suffolk County Council has a new interactive online reporting tool for highways problems. Visit www.suffolk.gov.uk and click on the link 'Report a pothole or defect in the highway' to use the interactive tool

If there is a problem which poses an immediate danger to public safety - call 0345 606 617

You can report a range of problems including:

  • Condition or roads or pavements (including potholes, road gulleys)
  • Bridges
  • Drainage and flooding
  • Rights of way (footpaths and bridleways)
  • Highways records
  • Snow, ice and gritting
  • Grass, hedges, trees and weeds
  • Roadworks
  • Signs, barriers and bollards
